Funny, that's exactly what i think they're saying too.
Do what you love, changing the world is incidental.

Ah! That link worked much better! You find the most interesting websites, my friend!
Given the thread of conversation recently here, my take on what the one boy is saying to the other one is:
"Gee, you're right...they DO look like lichi nuts...err...fruit...!"::-) ::-)

I tried to come up with a witty comment, I really did.
But they look like they're really enjoying themselves, and that's what's important, I think.
Nice to know I wasn't the only one that gangly and awkward at that age too.

Gotta say, though, that I'm not sure what to think about the pictures overall. It's a very ambiguous area. Um, not sure what to make of my own reaction either, frankly. I mean, I'm not that age, and yet...very mixed feelings. I hesitate to even bring up the topic. If I were a teen, I suppose it'd be just fine. But I'm not anymore. Why the **** does it have to be so confusing? -- Alright, yes, I find some pics in this range sexy, while others seem like intrusions into privacy. Then there's the whole, "pan lower" issue. -- Am I wrong to find pics like these even slightly interesting, let alone, er, sexy?
My advice to others, that things like this are just wishful thinking, identifying with one's younger self, I know it applies, and yet I am unsure what to think about it.

yup. I know the feeling. I have two (or three) primary reactions: first, the pictures are aesthetically pleasing. I like looking at boys of this age because they're pretty. I'm not interested in having sex with them. second, I think to myself--what the hell are their parents thinking, letting someone take pictures of them and put them on the internet? Third, i have a nurse-reaction: jesus, when was the last time either of those boys had a decent meal?
So then i have a philosophical debate with myself: by looking at such pictures, do i contribute to the exploitation of kids? Or somehow indicate approval? I'm not giving money to the organization or photographer who took the picture, and the picture is cropped, so i'm not seeing anything improper, and yet i know that the boys were nude in front of an adult photographer...I don't know the answer to this one. So, i cover my sense of distressed confusion with a smartass comment and go on with what i was doing. Sometime i'm going to have to get some clarity for myself on this.

Admiring beauty was never a crime. Political correctness has made us feel guilt about admiring even our own children. A sorry state of affairs.
beauty is beauty. Admire it.

I agree the human form in itself is beautiful and worth admiring. I do wish it was not now so laden with presumed value judgments.
It looks like my question's been well answered, too, and whatever other comments people might have are welcome.
I'm reminded of something I saw in a swimming pool changing room once when I was a young teen. A group of boys came in from swimming. As I was turning away to get changed, all of them were in high spirits, and one boy under a skylight had stripped off and raised his arms to stretch, smiling, at ease with himself and his friends and the world. If the rest of the world could be that peaceful and simple, innocent and beautiful, it'd be a better place. He was just some random kid, happy with life. That fleeting image, just seen for a moment, would've made a good image in whatever art form.
