I thought i would share two photos i took this Saturday. It was a great afternoon at Venice Beach in Los Angeles, CA USA.

It looks almost religious, particularly the first one, with the sun just at its last gasp before the night, with the obelisk in black relief and the palm trees giving the scene a very Egyptian slant. While I know it's sunset (West Coast, etc.) I'd like to pretend it's dawn: of a new day, a new world, a new belief in peace and love, the two small figures to the left arm in arm -- sumptuous. Yes, the moment was almost magical. The pictures are only a few minutes apart but wow what a difference.

They are very beautiful photos, i've always loved sunsets but if you don't mind my saying, i'm glad there's snow on the ground here...or at least there was, a little while ago.
