I received this today. I wil show it to you oldest first

hi, i have just finished readind robin. very dissapointed that it was an unfinished story. i get really upset that i read 5 chapters and find out that a story is not finished and i am left up in the air about what is still left to come/ i do not understand why you do not say at the beginning of a story it is not complete so that we have the choice as to read it or not. there are a lot 0of stories like this. from now on i will go to the end of a story. if it is not finished i will not read it. as there is a huge chance that it will never be finished. like robin a great story but completely let down having no idea if it wil be finished or not. probally left on your scrap heap and we will never know what happens. you have really spoilt my week.

I replied

Well if you wanted to wait until it was finsihsed before it was posted....................

I have not spoilt your week. You have, and have acted like a spoilt brat in your email.

And got this back

it is not me with a problem you are the problem most probally 99% say there is more to come or have a list of numbers from say i to 50 and each week more are added. you have a major problem seems you cannot take critisiam and i am sure that at some stage you said you were married with children but at another place you admit you are gay i am 69 years old and enjoy stories of same age boys do not like men and young boy stories as these are so wrong that is whyi like the stories i found your site. i have no reason to read any more of yours there are a lot of better story tells than you. if you can send me shit emails then i can do the same. take me of your email list

Amusing reatcion. I admit to having become unamused however, to wit my reply

When I get emails such as yours, one every four years, I feel very tempted to say "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on" but I tend to restrain myself.

In your case, I no longer feel the need for that restraint.

In your 69 years you have obviously not learnt politeness. The shit started with you. Let it end there. Regarding shit, I have noticed that, however hard you try, it is impossible to polish a turd.

So Robin Authors, we have lost a fan!

The ever polite Tim has teeth too, and sharp ones at that!
Wow. And you bit back with style and finesse too (insulting people properly is an artform), I like that.

I must say I agree with your reaction. That was the oldest spoiled brat I ever saw. Smile Good riddance...

But what wrong did the horse do, it's just a dumb animal. Very Happy

Good job tim,

I think that the English language left this guy somewhere along the way!

that stories with chapters tend to be continuing serials. He's obviously not been around much if he's not familar with that concept, so this would've been an opportunity to educate him.

From the tone, grammar, etc, maybe just not too bright, either, but we all work with what God gives us!

I didn't think his first e-mail was too personally insulting, just showed his ignorance. I felt the same way when I read (something) Sky by J. Thrower to finally learn he'd stopped writing. Of course my e-mail to him was a bit more tactful, but I did think the host (Eggman? can't remember) could've put a warning at the top that it was incomplete and would never be completed.

I can see your point, Tim, but I would've taken the opportunity to educate and make a friend, unless I was having a really shitty day - maybe you were?

I know you aren't the first, and there was nothing personal in his e-mail, but I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of publicly posting an e-mail. I know others have done that to YOU, Tim, and really despise that.

Respectful disagreement, K?

I see a huge differnece between posting an attribitable email, such as has been done before, and removing the atribution.

I usually seek to explain and try to woo frinedship. But really this pissed me off. "You have ruined my week" or whatever he said shows supreme arrogance. Especially since Robin SAYS it is an experiment everywhere you look!

Besides he could have started with a question, and been polite. He was a brat. Well, me too. But I am a better educated one Smile

I did forget to mention that he was impolite and ungrateful. Hopefully "ruined my whole week" was a joke, but if not, he does need to get a life.

Yes, you're well-educated. Hard on the outside and soft in the center? Like that Gary Larson comic with polar bears eating igloos in huge bites - or not.

Speaking of Robin, I finally read it just yesterday and was quite impressed how well it flowed from chapter to chapter and consistent style, etc. Thanks to those of you who worked on it and are committed to do so. A doozie of a cliffhanger, I must say. I was thinking of who evil it might be to not even resolve the cliffhanger in the next chapter and just stretch it out.
