I've enjoyed the work here for some time and decided that I should sign up and say thanks to Tim for running the board and the authors for contributing.
I may be a bloody yank but I'm a Southner. We're different. I promise.
An no, I'm not the toothless, trailer-dwelling, snake-handling, farm-animal molesting type Southner.
I am the gay, educated, literate, dried out alcoholic, writer type Southner.
Real Southners are easy to spot. We've cordial, have good manners, and are usually smart enought to shut up before we make too much of an ass of ourselves.
We also have more in common culturally with our cousins in the UK than most of the rest of the country. The old families still drink tea and attend Anglican churches.
