I went out today with my brother. we went shopping and he drove, I am sure you guys can all understand how much fun it is for your 23 year old brother to drag his little brother shopping. Long story short, I do have a lisence but I hurt my knee this weekend ( the right one) so I didn't want to need to drive with it
Anyway, onto my point. We went to the mall and I had a gift card to Sam Goody, who has the single worst selection I think I have ever seen. I did find one cd I wanted though, These guys are way old school. I really wnated a Journey cd, but my bro said that he would leave me at the store if I bought it. Enough said.
I did buy a Savage Garden cd though. I only have there very first cd, which ironically was my very first cd as well. Anyway, I had heard a song of theirs "Crash and Burn" on at a store awhile back so I figured I would buy the cd.
My brother looked equally disgusted in me but didnt threaten to leave me at the store again. The very first track and the cd are both called Affirmation,I think it is a really cool song so here is my sappiness and here are the lyrics for yall. Any chance these guys are gay? They are wicked hot.
"I believe the sun should never set upon an argument"
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
"I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do"
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
"I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality"
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
"I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul"
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
"I believe forgiveness is the key to your own happiness"
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse TV evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
My favorite lines are in quotes. The end
Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

Savage Garden? They rock! I've only heard two of their songs though, Truly Madly Deeply and some one I can't remember the name of but I'm sure the moon is in there somewhere.
However, I really love the song Truly Madly Deeply. It's such a nice song. Of course, no-one I know (outside of my family) knows I like that song and it'll probably remain like that. I remember when I was on holiday when I was 11 (for some reason everything seems to happen to me at that age), while staying in a mobile home, my favorite pass time would consist of listening to Truly Madly Deeply repeatedly while eating salt. Mmm, salt. Out of the salt thingy, not on anything (yes, I know that's incredibly unhealthly, tastes great though). Yeah, that holiday was fun (despite a run in with some French bloke which was scary).
Anyhow, to like Savage Garden doesn't make you a loser! It makes you great! Not sure if they're gay though.

Savage Garden rocks my world. I think the song you are looking for is to the moon and back on their first album. Ever look under the cd at the art work on the back, yes first cd I ever bought and if you look carefully you can make out the guy in the pictures dick.
For sure, I was hooked on them. If I do say so myself I think that this new cd is even better! We must be about the same age because I rememebr listening to them at about age 10-11 as well

Ah, to the moon and back. That was it! I still remember the tune now! Haven't heard any others though, being the poor deprived person that I am. As for Truly Madly Deeply, I've listened to it 24 times on my computer, since the 8th of December. Currently, however, I'm listening to Sometimes you can't make it on your own by U2.

Thank You sooooo much for that post. I haven't heard that album in far too long. It was the first album i ever bought and still my favourite.
Sorry to disapoint you, Andy, but neither of them are gay at least not if the stories bout Darren Hayes in the british tabloids are to be believed. But even worse, they broke up a few years ago which is a real pitty since they, IMO, were one of the best writing duos of the last decade.

Totally sad. I am even more dissapointed in myself since it took me till 2005 to buy their album from 1999. I am a totally sucky fan. I hear one of the guys is going solo doing dance club music now wtf? I may need to invest in some of that just to check it out ya know.

Well, they are Aussie so I should know more about them than I do, but from my understanding they aren't gay, just liberally minded. I do know that they have split up now and one of them (Darren, I believe) is working as a solo artist. Their music is pretty cool, though and pretty deep in a lot of ways.

Insatiable
some of the most explicit lyrics you'll ever hear without actually coming out and saying it IMO... hehehe
When the moonlight crawls along the street
Chasing away the summer heat
Footsteps outside somewhere below
The world revolves, I let it go
We build our church above the street
We practice love between these sheets
The candy sweetness scent of you
It bathes my skin, I'm stained in you
And all I can do is hold you
There's a racing within my heart
And I am barely touching you
Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable
The moonlight plays upon your skin
A kiss that lingers takes me in
I fall asleep inside of you
There are no words, there's only truth
Breathe in breathe out, there is no sound
We move together up and down
We levitate, our bodies soar
Our feet don't even touch the floor
But nobody knows you like I do
This world it don't understand
That I grow stronger in your hands
Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable, baby
We never sleep, we're always holding hands
Kissing for hours, talking and making plans
I feel like a better man, just being in the same room
We never sleep, there's just so much to do
So much to say, can't close my eyes
When I'm with you
Insatiable
The way I'm loving you
Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable, baby
When I look in your eyes...

You know Thirdfencepost, just because your a little behind on the
music of a group, it doesn't mean your a loser.
You want to see a loser, I think I might be the picture
beside the meaning of it in the dictionary.
I should prolly be beside the results for chicken too.
Maybe I need some hypnosis or something.
I keep scaring people off. In a weird chat tonight, I
might have had a chance, but low and behold, they stopped
chatting to me when I said I was moving when/if I got my
place sold.
Oh well, prolly the drink talking.
