Just on the off-chance...

I was just wondering if there is anyone round here who works, or has worked, or would like to work, in any of the following, for film or in a related industry:

Sound recording
Production management, location management
Theatrical/film lighting
Film make-up (would be *really* useful, especially if you can make someone look ugly and dirty)
Art direction (for theatre or film)
Running (film industry running - helping, making tea, driving etc.)

I am planning a very short film (3 or 4 minutes) to be shot on 8 or 16mm film around the 20th August. I am a student but have some industry experience.

Filming will take place in Surrey, probably Egham. Payment would be on an expenses basis.

I will obviously post similar messages in more likely places, but I was wondering if there was anyone round here who might be interested.

If you are, please email me - david.joy at holmoak dot co dot uk - or feel free to post a sarcastic comment below.

Thanks

David

i'm a student at keele uni... former amateur dramatics actor and theatre company member.

wasw technical director in my last year at sixth form, arranging and choreographing sound and lighting for GCSE exams, setting up equipment and operating the rigs for GCSE and A level performances as well as for school plays and music concerts.

also currently working with a group of lads down in Worthing who are filming a short war film... i'm doing all kinds of odd production jobs for them including choreographing their sword fights (i'm a fencer) and finding them a soundtrack they can legally use, and stting their film to music...

if i can help, i'm interested... but my experiance is all very strictly amateur, with no real qualifications or professional experiance
