I have been told that a young man is likely to come here to see us and decide of this is a place he will feel safe. He may use the name "Thad" or may choose a pen name of his own, in which case we will never know if he has arrived. His call. But this message is for him to say "Welcome, even if you never choose to post a single thing".

I learned a lot about myself by lurking for awhile, began to see that there are others in the same situation as myself, and eventually made some "virtual friends" who help me stay sane and let me say whatever I need to say - or tell me what I need to hear - or to vent once in awhile.
So, Welcome Indeed to Thad and other lurkers. As you get to know the zoo full of regulars, you may want to let us know who you are just so we know you're here, even if you don't have anything to say. Eventually, maybe a bit about yourself in case we can offer a wide range of advice which you should immediately question and second-guess! But at least we might get you thinking. You can e-mail someone, too, if you aren't good at "public speaking."
But, all in due time, if ever, no rush.

any and all are welcome here to pass time and seek amusement (and some of the posts are very amusing). I too lurked for a time before making my first post. Now Tim probably wishes I would post less, but Na na na na na. Anyway, lurk to your heart's content, and if you must answer, please be kind to me (I bruise easily). And most of us attach email addys to the name if you want to go private.
One last thing, hugs to all!
Charlie

If you're there, make yourself feel right at home.
Nothin' to see here, officer.
