My pup died at 2:30 am Sept, 14th.

Thought it would be harder than this, maybe it'll
take longer to sink in.

Best pup I ever had, 16 years old, 9 years past his so called
life expectancy.

Guess I miss him more than I think.

Commiserations, Brian. It's always very difficult to lose a pet who is a friend, a member of the family. When our "Lady" died (of intestinal cancer) we were all heartbroken. Even all these years later we still talk about her from time to time when the occasion arises.

The sadness will pass and you will be left with happy memories.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

Hugs. I know how it feels. It was the same when our Holly died. She was the best of all our dogs.

It takes a while to get used to not being welcomed by a wag and a lick. It does ease, after quite some time.

It's really hard losing your dog. Ask Timmy to post the story of the Rainbow Bridge. It makes you cry for your lost friend, but then you take a deep breath, smile at all the great memories and do things just a little bit better cause you know he's happy.

I've seen the poem, Timmy pointed me to it
when I lost my Rotty a couple years ago.

Thanks for the thoughts
