Here we go again in our continuous rape of africa's human and material resources. In the never ending assault on the continent of africa and its people, we now have a new campaign designed to collect foreskins in masses from a people who are being used as flesh producers and human guinea pigs ie.(The Constant Gardener). With phoney science in hand, a bullshit solution to a very real problem is being offered to a people who are in great distress.
People are dying from this most deadly disease. Instead of proposing mutilation of a healthy body part, why not put whatever money it takes in the area of medication, education and condoms products.
I am a African and I live in the United States of America. The overwhelming number of cases that have contracted the virus that causes AIDS through sexually contact in america have been men who have been circumcised. This indisputable fact has been so well establish here that it is now a given. I am a black male who is intact and whose foreskin extends well beyound the glans head, something that has always given me a great amount of pleasure. When the doctors wanted to cut my sons I told them where they could go in a nice way. When I went to school in america I was on my high schools swim team and the only other male who had there foreskins were from the caribbean region and central and south america. The members of that championship team and I have stay in touch with each other over the years. There were some premature deaths of some of those teams members from AIDS and all of them with the exception of one were cut. So much for circumcision as being a preventive measure.
The only sure way to lower one changes of contracting the virus that causes AIDS, if one is sexually active, is through the use of a condom and the practicing of safe sex.
The western world has done enough harm to the african and the african continent. If you can not truely help the african without having some alternative agenda, then step out of the way and let the africans help themselves. This can be achieve by stopping all of your obstructionous activities, drug patents and unfair banking are two that immediately come to mind.
