He says he just got back from 4 days in the hospital with pneumonia and something else I couldn't make out.

Well I've been meaning to drag my sorry butt over to DaBeagle's house for awhile to read David's story (does he have others?) and am quite glad I finally did. The whole storyline is something so totally different - it's refreshing. And, if I can learn a little about an asian culture - of which I'm ashamed to say I'm totally ignorant - that's definitely a plus and keeps it extra interesting.

Of course now I'm curious as hell as to how autobiographical it may or may not be, but of course we all deserve a bit of privacy. 'Course just because he deserves it doesn't mean we have to give it to him, does it?

So, thanks, David, (and please keep writing, of course!) and to the others - whatcha waitin' for?
icon14.gif I already read it, and liked it. As you said - different.  [message #1871 is a reply to message #1870] Tue, 02 April 2002 22:43 Go to previous messageGo to next message

It is great to her from you! Wish you a speedy recovery. Hell of a way to get some time off from moving though.

Hugs, Charlie

THANKS!

Still far from well, and can't even scroll thru the threads to add my thoughts as I love to.

But having the email, MB, personal, and spiritual support has meant all the world to me.

And I hope my typing increases in goodness the better I get.

I am at home, taking mega meds, coughlin until I'm dizzy, but the pleurisy "broken class in your gut" is better. I even have to have a few spittoons around the place...as I am not supposed to keep it inside. Pretty gross.

I go for an up-date chest x-ray on Monday morning, and I hope I will be able to start working part-time after that.

You guys are terrific. Thanks again.

Just a "final" update on my bout of pneumonia and pleurisy. I can stop taking all the heavy duty meds over the week-end, my chest x-ray yesterday was the best to date, and I am almost well.

I start back to work (slowly, not full days at first) next week. My energy is returning, and I am reading again, thank goodness.

Plus, and the best news of all, is that on April 25 I leave here for 10 days holiday with my lover Man in Thailand. Haven't been together since February, so it'll be wonderful to be with each other by other methods than phone and email.

Plus, I lost almost 20 pounds. So even something this awful can have at least some faintly positive benefit...And than God for 100% medical coverage thru a combination of good insurance and my work contract. I am really lucky and counting my blessings!

Thanks guys again for all your support, both on and off the MB.

Get Doctor's guidance about joining and going to a gym and the exercise program most likely to be posible in the early days.

DO be careful about a flight, even such a desirable one, so soon after a major chest infection
