"The British Humanist Association's work is more important than ever - with fundamentalism on the rise, the rational voice of humanism needs to be heard"
Linda Smith, Broadcaster & BHA President

The BHA promotes Humanism and supports and represents people who seek to live good lives without religious or superstitious beliefs.

The BHA:
- campaigns for a secular society and an end to religious privilege
- provides educational resources for schools, students and parents
- provides humanist (non-religious) funerals, weddings and other ceremonies

American Humanist Association
Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without supernaturalism, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.

Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continuous process.

Holding an organic view of life, humanists find that the traditional dualism of mind and body must be rejected.

Never of girls with big bulges in their blouses.

I'm sure she is, and I'm a fan of hers from being a regular listener to the Newsquiz, but I didn't know she was BHA president until I saw her on the webpage.

Quote from http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/newsquiz.shtml:

"Linda Smith: Having conquered the Edinburgh Fringe seven years running, Linda moved effortlessly into TV and Radio with regular appearances on Just a Minute and Have I Got News for You? and her own Radio 4 sitcom. She was recently voted The Wittiest Living Person by listeners to Radio 4's Word Of Mouth."

Well the link no longer exists as a link. I cannot (yet) see the elevance of a link to there from here, so I have dited it to make it usable but not a s a link. Links are often posted on messagebaords in an attempt to increase the search engine results page position of the site linked to.

So I just want to know more about it first please.
