Viva South Africa! I love my country, but I was under the (false) impression that this had happened a while back when the court case between the lesbian couple and the State was publicised and broadcast on the news. I do remember that my mother and father swore and cursed the state for alowing it, but it pleases me. Now I will be able to say I'm officially married when the time and the opertunity comes along. By then I hope that they have worked out all the bugs.

Now that my country has allowed it, I do wish that some other stuborn countries will take the plunge and at least start on plans to copy us.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
