This is just an interesting question ive wondered about, and it would probably look better as a poll, but...
How often do you check ur mail and reply?
1 time every two weeks?
Any amount in between roughly?
1 time per week?
Any amount in between roughly?
1 time dayly?
2/3/4 times dayly?
once every hour?
once every ten minutes?

About once an hour, when I am using a computer.
Or every five minutes, when I remember to start a little program that interrogates my email accounts every five minutes. But I keep forgetting to start it.

My PC normally runs 24/7, and is set up to check e-mail every ten minutes (on the five different e-mailboxes that I use for different purposes). Except for today - my ISP has a MAJOR mail problem at the moment, and I only have access through webmail!
However, I don't by any means always respond to the 'new mail'icon - unless I'm expecting a particularly urgent mail, I probably only actually open mails every couple of hours. It depends rather on what else I'm doing - indeed, it depends on whether I am at home or not (in the kind of weather we've had in London recently, I'm virtually housebound for several days a week).

I respond to email on a very regular schedual.....
If I don't I don't get paid.....
Right now I administer a few dozen websites and prompt responce means good service.
As for personal email..... I seldome get any so I mostly just check it once a few days.
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

If I'm in front of the computer, the e-mail comes through automatically and gets almost immediate attention. If I'm doing something else, it has to wait until I get back to my desk.
Immediate attention does not necessarily mean an immediate reply, though.

I check it when ever I get on the computer, so that's between 2-4 times a day. If it's from a friend I answer right away.
