I know that in the nature of things people come and go from every message board - after all, I disappeared from this one myself for a couple of years!
I'm just a wee bit concerned that there have been no recent posts from either NW or Dee (Dewald). Is anyone in touch by e-mail and, if so, can anyone confirm that all is well?

I last spoke to Dewald about two weeks ago. He said he was okay and had just needed some time to himself over Christmas. And that he now had a lot of work to do for school and was very busy. I'm not sure if that is still the case or not.
I think he likes to be enigmatic, not reading emails and disappearing for stretches at a time. It's difficult to judge how a person is when one doesn't see him around much. If you're reading this, Dee, it would be great to hear from you!

Wow - the first time I log in to the site since before Christmas, and I find this among today's posts! Cossie, thanks for thinking of me.
I haven't visited for six weeks or so. Life has been rather tough. At one stage it looked as though I would be taking my about-to-be-former employers to an Employment Tribunal over a number of issues, but 2 days before the deadline in mid-Jan they offered me a "compromise agreement" - effectively an out-of-court settlement - which I signed last week. Part of the deal is, as usual, that I'm not allowed to talk about details. However, the whole thing was a tremendous strain, and I effectively crawled into a little hole of depression and didn't really communicate with anyone much at all.
Since signing, I've started to bounce back to my (I hope) normal cheerful self. There's a way to go yet - I will retire on 9th March on the grounds that I am now too disabled to ever work regularly again, with a miniscule pension. No doubt I'm in for a bad patch when this actually hits me ... although I have been off work since September 2004, so there won't be much change in my day-to-day life.
However, I'm OK, making progress, and definitely basically "back" as an intermittent contributor!

compromise agreemants are "such fun" aren't they. I got kicked out of my last emplyer with one of those.

I have just been notified on msn by deeej that I am declared missing in action...and I'm sorry for the recent absence of posts or even of reading posts...but since school holidays are over I have school from 6am to 4 pm, then its homework, then I have chess and fencing, extra language studies, computer programming studies, tapdancing classes, then I'm doing beta work for a friend who writes fanfiction, further I am under the water in a backlog of work emails, I'm helping design a website for friends, I still have some little social life to scrape off the floor, I write for the school newspaper and I have a list of books I have to read for english assignments... Overall, I'm streched pretty thin right now, but am physically healthy (although I think I'm becoming insane from the schedule...voices in the head is a bad sign). So my lack of posting on any ONE of the about 40 sites I used to regular during my school holidays are missing me and sending email inquiries like mad...
So dont worry, I am okay, but I probably won't have any free time to surf and post untill the Sunday after next when the backlog of work, paperwork, homework and social ocasions are lessened.

As I remmber he had something to do with kenetescopes about the turn of the last century.
