Alex and I are curious. We just finished making our first batch of buttons which are mainly of Skuff, with cute sayings or other oddities to go along with the comic strips/pictures we are putting up.
Now then we made a set of buttons for the GSA at my former highschool for them to sell/wear/litter the school with. Would any of you, or do you know anyone/organization/ whatever who would be interested in some custom buttons?
Alex and I design and make them all by hand and are just trying to get a sense of what sort of things we should work on. cool?
peace out
Alex and Anna

Been there, done that...
I don't want to discourage enterprising young entrepreneurs but.....
Buttons are a tough sell.....
But if you really want to begin making money with them concentrate on...
campaign buttons for elections...
Local events promoting fund raising for charities...
The cutsie buttons are a flash in the pan... a fad... They might do well for a while but be warned... do not invest the farm on a large backstock...
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

were not out to make money. We just do it for fun and to avoid school work.
Mostly this is a hobby. If we make enough money to buy a pepperoni pizza I think there will be much rejoicing here...

I don't think anyone has ever tried to sell me a button. I thought they were things that just came attached to your trousers.
Is a button the same as a badge?

Ah, a button is a badge (according to Google). I'm just being dense. Sorry!
I don't think anyone's ever tried to sell me a button. Maybe you should set up a shop on your web site so that we can all buy them over the internet. I'd buy one.
The only places I can think of that one frequently finds badges in the UK are on birthday cards ("I'm 9 today!") and sometimes charities ("Save the dolfins!"). You could look for a local charity you could help raise awareness for. It probably wouldn't make you any money but it would certainly be a good cause.

You probably wouldn't find a badge that said "Save the dolfins!". You might find one that said "Save the dolphins!", though.

Kevy and I do the printing for the local chapter of PFLAG and also the local PRIDE association. It is great fun for us and it helps the groups alot.
I think buttons promoting local causes and charities is a wonderful idea.
Also, if you are doing volunteer printing do not be afrade to solicit local business supply shops and printing shops for the occasional ream of paper or cartridge of ink.....
Like the saying goes, the squeeky wheel gets the grease....

That I would need to clarify. These are the type of buttons we make for all the rest of you who don't live in the US
