Hi D.K.,
I am guessing because you put "three" in capital letters that that's a little dig at everyone who didn't reply to your initial post. A couple of points:
i. the board has not been terrifically busy this weekend, and a few of those who have posted are not regular posters; also, I think a few people who frequently post are either away or busy at the moment
ii. Timmy, the board owner, is away -- I'm sure get a reply from him when he gets back
Perhaps you could post a little bit about yourself (generally -- no need to be too specific), or bring up a subject that is dear to your heart; or you could reply to some of the other posts around here. Even if they are old posts, I'm sure whoever wrote them would appreciate another viewpoint. If you don't get any replies it doesn't mean that people haven't read and agreed with them. I've posted (good grief!) more than 400 times in the last six months or so and most of the time I would never have any idea whether anyone finds them at all interesting.
If you'd like to talk to me then you're welcome to add me to your contact list -- spuriously@gmail.com.
I'm sure the board will busy up if you give it a bit of time. What sort of things are you interested in?
Best wishes,
Deeej

DK! Deeeej is absolutely corect. Sometimes you can come in here and there are a dozen people posting. then sometimes you can come in and there are maybe three. There are a lot of people who just come in to read and see whats being discussed and never post and some who just post now and then. Just hang around they will trickle in.

... I would have posted a welcome, but I've been a little fragile for a day or two, as you may have gathered from the board. Sorry! :-[
I hope you enjoy being part of this odd little community! Please do think of it as a 'place of safety', where you can discuss almost anything in the knowledge that other posters will do their level best to be supportive and helpful but (almost!) never judgemental. And on top of that, you can exercise your sense of humour, too!
You can find a great deal here, including new friends, but don't forget that - like any messageboard - there can be no guarantees that posters are as they purport to be. So be careful, but be welcome and be happy!
For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,
That man tae man, the worrld o'er
Shall brithers be, for a' that.

The reality is that people tend to get real busy on the weekends.
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Thanks anyway, for your messages.

...but I think I should apologise for my comment:
'Well it was nice that THREE people welcomed me to the board...'
Sorry, guys. I guess I just didn't want to feel alienated by the very people I thought would warmly understand me - and I know you do - Like Marc said, the reality is that people are busy at the weekend.

I am one of those who was away and I didn't respond to your introduction until a few minutes ago. Sorry, mate. These things happen. But you are very welcome none the less.

Don't forget, DK, to make allowances for differences of time. When it's 4 o'clock in the afternoon in sunny Blighty the good people of Hawaii are getting up bleary-eyed from whatever they have been doing during the night; and the no less good folk in New Zealand are already fast asleep (or busy doing something else in bed, as the case may be.) What I mean to say is that when you post here you need patience.

And here the time difference is exactly ....... zilch.
But there again, I just haven't been in here for a few days. I have Chapter 62 to worry about!
