So, why do some of you feel you all have to have the last word in it?

It is not clever, and it lets you all down badly. I can imagine he feels trivialised by it. I certainly do. I am now going to have to waste my time removing your rubbish from that thread.

You are meant to behave like adults in an adult discussion, and when you are not part of it you are meant to stay out if it.

He deserves a huge apology from you. And so do we all.

Just for the record.....

I made sure I didn't post replies to these additions to the thread.

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Cossie, I apologise for any hurt feelings. And Timmy, I apologise for wasting your time.

However, Timmy (and I'm sorry if this sounds argumentative, but I don't know how to raise these points without it)

i. threads frequently get sidetracked round here, and while I agree my posts were insensitive given the thread subject matter they were hardly unprecedented

ii. much more genuinely hurtful (not just insensitive) things have been said on this board in the past, without any sort of insisted apology from you

David

Your points in justification are being handled in a separate thread

Is OK Brian. Actually my mother would have said that if she had thought of it. You have nothing to apologise for, and you did not cause the mess. Please carry on being you.
