The answer is that this was a set of accusations. They were answered. Then, possibly out of embarrassment, people started to play with the thread.

It is the playing with thye thread that I deprecate. That was not excusable.

Trializing, no; simple clarification of one, and only one, remark - his second - and most definitely not on the thread itself, nor any of it's predessors, which you so pruriently point out, I had not been party to.

Any apologies I may have had to make, at one time or another, have long been rendered, and the ill will engendered through any part I may have played, or that played by others, at that time, largely accounting for my seldom appearing here at all.
