No, I haven't given up thinking about this. Actually, it's been bugging me - I know that I do know who he is, or at least have seen the face before (well, it's kind of pretty enough to stick in my mind !), but I just can't put any context to it ... advancing senility, no doubt.

You are correct. I have not read any of his books either, so can't recommend them. There are short excerpt from his books on his web site.
