Those who are most vociferous in their persecution of gays seem to show clear signs of homophobia. The American Medical Association is on record as saying that homosexuality is not a disease or a mental aberration: it is alternative normality. However, a phobia is a psychiatric illness - and it can be cured. So let's start a campaign to get all homophobes into therapy - for the love of God.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

I assume that the therapy would be residential and would continue for a period of years.

I note that those who have been cured of arachnophobia are comfortable handling spiders. Will there be a parallel with homophobes - and if there is, will we enjoy it?

I agree, once they staret tharepy they need to hold on and complete what they started, and then they will be cured of their homophobia.

The homophobes are just weak specimens of humanity who are led astray by preachers who are more interested in their own power base than in the true word of God. But it would be kinda nice to have them locked up for a few years!

I do not really wish to be handled by a recovering homophobe.

Does anyone have any idea what this therapy should include?

Simple. Surround them with gay people getting increasingly camp until they are comfortable.

Then do the same thing in a "urinal situation" until they can pee first time every time
