My friend's son is tragicly ill..... A hereditary condition, which one of the symptome is that arterial walls are very thin (thus weak) had 3 simultaneous embolisms, one in the main artery into the heart, one into the main artery out of the heart and one in his stomach.
He was rushed to the Cleveland Clinic and emergency surgery was performed to make the necessary repairs.
Yesterday the family was informed there was a severe septic infection ravaging his entire body.....
His heart stopped at about noon and he was recussitated.....
His chances are bleak but where there is the spark of life there is hope....
Please, a prayer for this 33 year old father of two small kids.......
Please....................
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I don't generally pray too often, but I shall in this case.
It's always the old to lead us to the war
It's always the young to fall
Now look at all we've won with the sabre and the gun
Tell me is it worth it all

Sincerest and most heartfelt wishes for this man's recovery. My positive thoughts are with him and his loved ones throughout this trial - and with you, Marc: stay strong.

Marc, my dear friend, I am so sorry. Nothing anyone can say now can make the grief better. Later the grief will subside and a hole will be left. This hole will fill with the fond memeories of him, the things that will make someone smile when they rember him. Tell the family how mych we all share their grief,

Marc, I am truly sorry to read this sad news.
To those who think that this outcome is not fair:
Life is not 'fair'; life is life - and that includes death which is absolutely and incontrovertibly inevitable, in some cases sooner and in others later. When it happens it's tough for the loving survivors. They too need to be in our thoughts right now.

I think the thing, now, is those who remain. May they gain peace of mind.

marc,
i am so sorry i feel your sadness, life is very fragile we find it difficult, to understand when young people who have everything to live for suffer.

Cry not for the young man who's battle is now over, but for those left behind who will miss his light.

I guess this will sound harsh, but it's not tears that are needed right now. Better than that are prayers and support for his family. I seem to remember you said he leaves a wife and two young children. They are the ones who need our thoughts most now.

It is not harsh.
When we die we go on to whatever awaits us, including nothing at all.
Those who are left behind do need to grieve for, even to be hugely angry at the person who died, just because they died.
That includes tears, and includes feeling alone and helpless.
The best service the living can give to the grieving is to make sure they talk to them about all topics including the person who died. And to allow anger to be expressed, jokes to be made, laughter to happen. And tears when needed, too.

Marc,
My best wishes to his family and friends. As someone who never knew him, I don't think there is anything else I can say; but the depth of your feeling indicates how much he must have been loved.
Regards,
David
