Central London is pickpocket city: I cary my wallet in an inside jacket pocket, buttoned closed, for preference righthand side so I can reach it with my left hand (my right hand is usually needed on my walking stick).

But tube pass lives in the LH back pocket of my 501's (easy for the LH again), and mobile phone lives in RH front pocket of my 501's - the rumour that this is because I like the feeling if the ringtone is set to "vibrate" is something I couldn't possibly comment on in a public forum!

I think that if you are going to ask a raw carrot question (which do you like best: raw or cooked carrots?) you should provide your answer in the post. As some on this board would say, 'Good form you know!'

Anyhow, right rear, because I am left handed and I want to extract and hold the wallet with my left while I thumb through it with my left. You?

Regards
Simon

I carry my wallet and a jewelers loop (10x magninifying eye piece), a 10 foot tape measure, 3 binder clips, 2 pens, business cards for our army surplus bisiness as well as more for our web design business, about 20 3x5 index cards, a small note pad, pain medication and migrane medication.

I put all this in a small, blue vinyl bag.

I know all this stuff sounds like a strange combination of items but over the years these tools have made buying things as well as finding treasures at yard sales as well as flea markets possible.

I have found rare glass, several hundred pieces of collectible costume jewelry as well as various precious and semi-precious gem stones and once at a salvation army I found a 60 inch opera length of 8 millimeter natural south sea pearls that brought me 2 years pay at a New York auction.

One of my many and various talents is as a certified gemologist certified in precious as well as semi-precious stones from the Gemological Institute of Americs.

It pays to do your homework as well as keeping your eyes open.

True story......

A friend was stopped at air port security with a silver bullet vibratod hidden in her nether regions......

It was on and set off alarms all over the airport......

... I've got two wallets - one for credit and debit cards, and one for membership cards. And whichever pocket I go to, the wallet I want is in the other!

I'm right handed & have carried mine in my left back pocket for a long time. I think I used to use the right, but switched to even out the wear in my pants or something..& there it's been ever since!! hahaha.

It may also have to do with the comfort of sitting on it..

Hey Brian I used to carry mine in my right rear pocket but then changed at some point to carrying it in my left rear pocket. I am not sure about this though when in areas where there are lots of pickpockets. I might tend to favor one of my front pockets or one that can be buttoned or has some kind of velcro fastener to it.

I carry cards and cash loose in either my front left pocket or my front right pocket -- whichever seems more empty. I also carry a mobile phone and car keys in the other pocket.

I was not aware that Central London was pickpocket city, NW -- I have not yet had my pocket picked there; nor, for that matter, anywhere. I wonder if recklessly carrying cards loose makes it harder for someone to snatch the whole lot. I also never use back pockets -- that might be a contributory factor.

David

P.S. Cooked carrots. Though only lightly cooked -- I like them to be fairly solid.

I carry cash and car keys in my right front trouser pocket. In winter I carry my wallet (which contains banknotes and various magnetic cards, including credit cards) in my left inside jacket pocket; in the summer I carry it in my left shirt pocket (it's too hot for a jacket). I carry my cellphone in a pouch attached to my trouser belt on the right: this is for certain medical reasons; I used to have it in my shirt too.

Brian, why did you ask the question and why is it burning?

I carry my wallet in my front right pocket and my mobile in my front left pocket. I never put anything in my back pockets because I hate sitting down with something under my butt Razz I also usually put my glasses in my inner left jacket pocket when they aren't in use and I often keep a pen there as well.
