Please can you give me your impressions of performance, especially compared with last week.

It is hard to be objective, but I am looking at "forum load", "Message post" and things like that.

Sluggish.....

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I've had no problems, and I've got a very decent ping time (assuming the server's in America) of 85ms. With the other server, load problems were intermittent, however -- it may be we haven't been able to test it for long enough to see them yet.

Probably the tuning is now completed. The forum is as quick as it can be. It is entirely composed of dynamic pages, so is a true test fo difference of server power and bandwidth as a combination.

The web pages themselves are optimised, too.

I'm not saying that it will fly. But it will run somewhat better. Everything that can be cached is cached. Eveyrthing that can be compressed is compressed.

I didn't say it was not ok......

All I said was that there is no appreciable difference in load time......

That's cool. It probably depends on your ISP to a great extent if you see no difference. Though outside the forum we've been able to make substantial differences. Inisde it we simply cache the php it is written in. But the forum is highly dymanic, so we can't do much to it
