-- but one step further from the wish.

Gil Grissom: There are two types of male oysters, and one of them can change genders at
will. And before man crawled out of the muck, maybe he had the same option. Maybe
originally we were supposed to be able to switch genders, and being born with just one
sex ... is a mutation.

wouldn't that be something?

... and I don't even know enough about you to respond constructively to you post. But I'd like to know you better, either on or off the board. If you want to talk, I'll listen - and I'll try to comment helpfully and intelligently.

An interesting thought, indeed.

Look at this tree. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before its time [...] No matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.

thank you, that's so nice of you. Smile

mostly lately, i just dream. my life isn't of the sort i could even consider a change in gender, without losing so much that the end result wouldn't be worth it.

my job helps considerably. 90 percent of my time in an emergency room or outpatient lab, and the 10 percent left over is assessing their specimens. a great way to never be disappointed, never have a broken heart. head in test-tubes, eyes in the microscope, and everything is safe. i spend all my time saving other people, it tends to alleviate the need to solve unsolvable problems with myself.

Smile

i have missed this board, i peek at it a lot. but i know i don't really contribute much except for whining, though i spent much time backreading to catch up on everyone, and people who are new to me. maybe down the line i can contribute. i'd rather help others than myself. maybe i can. i'd like to.

You know full well that you do not whine.... Not any more than any other of us....

So,,,,,,, that being said.....

How are you?

I've missed seeing and talking with you....

Look for me online, though I have been kind of busy with our businesses I still have time for a bit of a chat when I am here......

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

oh come on now - i'm a whiner. Wink

i see you online sometimes, when i've had the chance to pop onto AIM, but i admit i've been afraid to IM since it's been so long. so, i'll be sure to send you a message when i see you -- my aim name is still the same (nihilight)

i've been okay - mostly busy with work. my health concerns (heart, crohn's, ED) have been getting slowly, but steadily better. i really can't complain.

a woodchuck has eaten the bottom of my car (a belt, most the wiring) when i visited a friend whose home is in the woods, however.. that sucks! Smile

what about you? i will have to find you soon. if email contact is easier there is always that too -- when i'm on my work weeks (i work a week straight, and then a week off, 12 - 15 hour shifts until the end of summer) it's easier for me to check mail since i'm allowed to do that at work.
