What I would do if I injured myself sufficiently to a degree that I would be required to go to an hospital?
I don't think I would like being forced into it.....
I also know I am not prepared to volunteer to go.....
Hmmmmm.....
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I don't think it would be a very good idea, to be honest! You're better off not hurting yourself at all.
Look at this tree. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before its time [...] No matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.

... and, on any scale, self-injury is a bad idea! But, if you were injured through no fault of your own, the experience MIGHT be beneficial. I know only a little of what you have been through, but my own experience (with a myriad of medical problems) has left me with nothing but respect for the medical establishment in the UK.
I have some understanding of how you feel (I have a totally unjustified yet absolutely paranoic fear of dentists) but your personal experiences may have constructed an unscaleable wall. If that's so, it's understandable - but I hope that, if and when the time comes, you'll find the strength to scale the unscalable.
For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,
That man tae man, the worrld o'er
Shall brithers be, for a' that.

You would do what needs to be done.
The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

I seldom injure myself intentionaly (anymore)....
But..... over the past year and a half I have experienced a problem with vertigo and balance..... that along with ever failing eyesight has in effect caused me to stumble and fall down the stairs at least 6 times and occasionaly tripping over an obsticle I fail to notice.
So far I have been able to realign and or repair what broken bits and cuts this problem has caused...... but eventually, I am going to become seriously hurt.... it's enevitable.... I just do not know what I will do.... Hospital is not an option....
Oh.... as for dentists.... They don't bother me.... but the last molar I had removed.... I did myself.... I guess I am just cheap....
