Private Eye magazine reports on Rolling Stone Keith Richard's recuperation from brain surgery in New Zealand, after falling out of a tree in Fiji :-

"He's mumbling, he can't remember anything and he's staggering about looking terrible. It's an amazing recovery!"

Cheers

... his brain was probably re-inserted upside down. Come to think of it - would that make a difference?

Cossie, its not like you to make such an unkind and scurrilous attack on us downunders.

However as usual I think you are right and in this case it wouldn't make any difference.

... that you don't all spend your days upside-down, with crocodiles under your left arms and cans of Fosters in your right hands, waltzing with sheilas in billabongs and whinging about Poms?

You are challenging my fundamental conception of post-colonial civilisation!

I do know that your toilets swirl the wrong way......

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I may be Scottish, but I'm South of the idiots who campaign for Scottish independance, and I'm well North of the South-Eastern underbelly of the United Kingdom. I live in the far North-East of England, where men are MEN (except after 8pm, when they are unconscious).

We eat Stottie Cakes, Singin' Hinnies, Pan Hackelty, Black Puddin' and numerous other local delicacies, and look down with smug contempt at the rest of the much less civilised world!

"We went to Blaydon Ryaces, 'twas on the Ninth of Jeun
Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Tyeu, on a Summer's afterneun;
We tyeuk the 'bus fra Balmbra's, an' she was heavy lyaden,
And aff we set alang Collingwood Street, that's on the rwoad te Blaydon."

Oh bliss, oh utter bliss!
