Anybody watching the Little league baseball world series? Those Japanese players are absolutely awsome, they are flat kicking butt.

Harrumph. Baseball? Is that an American facsimile of rounders?

I'm afraid we don't get it in the UK -- not on any of the usual channels, anyway. It's the cricket season, you see. Smile

... it's the game the rebellious colonials came up with when they tried to interpret the Laws of Cricket. I know that there are quite a few differences, but that's because the Laws of Cricket are written in proper English, which the colonials have never been able to understand. In fact, they were so frustrated at their inferiority that it led to the War of Independence; the slogan 'No taxation without represendation' was just a cheapskate response to the British slogan 'You can't play cricket without a wicket'.

The US Government contrives, through the Pentagon and other secretive agencies, to prevent baseball being televised in the UK - because if it was shown over here, it would simply remind us of our intellectual superiority.

Don't tell Brian, though - it'll just upset him!

For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,

Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah, you put together a baseball team and we'll see how they fare against our boys over here.

I'm not following the LLWS, I never do unless a MA-based team is in it, but I am a huge baseball fan. Red Sox first, always, and the Pirates a distant second.

And hey, all your British people, I can still talk football with any of you. City till I die, baby.
