I'm so nervous that I can't sleep. I go to my Orthopedic Doctor tomorrow. For a check up on my elbow. And find out if I can go back to swimming.(The one thing that I could do every day, is swim.) Its been 3 wks since the last time, I was in the water. I hope he says yes. I don't think I can wait 2 more weeks. For the next visted.

Can't you swim "legs only" in the interim?

Well, No to the first part cause you can't swim with a sling on. My arm could was not to move. 90% of the day was in the sling, and the other 10% was physical therapy. and resting on a pillow.

But now I CAN. Thank God. I got some much good news to day.

First I only have to ware the sling in the car. So I don't drive with my left arm. And in a place where my elbow can get hit by some thing, or some one.(Like in stores or other place were there is a chance for impact.)Or if my arm starts to hurt. I got a band that goes in front of my elbow that keeps it from bending to far. Have to ware 100% of the time even in the shower. But is not bad at all.(right now, ask me in a week)

Second I don't need surgery to move the nerves.

Third and the best news of all is I can go back to swimming, light right now no more that 5 min if I do laps and no more than 20 min of just being in the pool. Some thing about water pressure on the nerves.

Forth Is the worst of all. I can never play waterpolo ever again on a team. Which is the sport I love to play. :'-( ( but I guess I can live with that.)

When I was a kid I spent my time in, under, and on the water. I know, I think, what you are feeling like. So let me suggest something to you. Learn to sail or kayak. Take up kite surfing, windsurfing. Do things that let you love the water still. Have a look at http://www.fastacraft.com/multimedia/ABN_Amro_flying_Moth.wmv if you want something really crazy!

Wait, you have water polo in Texas? I was always told it was a very coastal thing, especially on the west coast.

I wish I could find a bunch of scrubs around Boston to play WP with. I know how it's played, but that's about it. Football (City til I die, baby) has always been my sport, and I've gotten bigger on baseball the last couple of years. My sidearm delivery is strangely effective.

Omigod. That looks so much fun. Have you ever seen one in action?

I thought they played water polo everywhere. I know they play it here. Personally I like Ice hocky. Ive been on ice skates since I was 6 and Im pretty good even if I am bragging. I could do an axel when I was 8. Just because you are land locked dont mena you cant play water sports or ice sports.

See we can not only make a good cup of tea to British specifications but design good toys as well.
Pity about any swimmer who gets in the way though.
