Please list all questions below. One line per question. I will then attempt to collate.

1. Are you a shy person?
2. Do you dislike being in large gatherings?
3. Do you have just a few good friends OR Dor you have a large circle of friends?
4. Do you enjoy large family celebrations (weddings for example)?
5. When a friend or relative is in hospital do you go to visit them eagerly?
6. Are you good in the art of casual conversation?
7. Are you uncomfortable undressing in the presence of others?
Well, there's a few suggestions to be getting on with. Of course, they could all be turned inside out as well. There must be hundreds more.
The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

8. Do you adopt an artificial persona when meeting new people?
9. Do you find that you are confident or very confident in a professional role?
10. Do you believe yourself to be less attractive than friends would have you believe?
11. Do you talk to and propose activities with your friends on a regular basis? (rather that waiting for them to contact you/propose something)
12. Did you enjoy your time at school?
The following questions may be unsuitable, but I think there may be some common traits here:
13. Have you suffered from clinically-diagnosed depression, either now or in the past?
14. Have you suffered from depression but not approached a doctor or therapist about it?
15. Have you ever attempted or almost attempted suicide?
16. Have you ever physically harmed yourself in another way?
17. Have you ever had a clinically-diagnosed anxiety disorder (distinct from depression, e.g. OCD, anorexia)?
18. Do you use, or have you used, obsessive or compulsive rituals (which may or may not qualify as a disorder) as a coping strategy?

19. Are you or have you ever been in a sexual relationship with a member of the opposite sex?
20. Are you very reticent about using the telephone for non-professional purposes?
21. Do you find it easier to express your feelings and emotions electronically (e-mail, IM) than 'in real life'?

David, I think this question should be modified in order to exclude childish playing at 'doctors'. Perhaps "Are you or have you ever been in a sexual relationship with someone of the the same sex since reaching adolescence?" might do the trick.

I would have thought that the word "relationship" would preclude that. I was not referring just to sex -- when I said "sexual relationship" I meant the sort of (likely mid-to-long-term) relationship in which there is clear mutual psychological and physical attraction between the participants. I would say that in those circumstances the word "adolescence" is redundant since adolescence is, almost by definition, the point at which such a relationship becomes possible.
Perhaps, "are you or have you ever been in a long-term sexual relationship with someone of the same sex?"
And, for the purposes of equality, we should modify the "opposite sex" question accordingly as well.

Some of these overlap earlier suggestions, so I'm abandoning the numbering and leaving it to Timmy to collate.
Which of these descriptions do you regard as relevant to yourself -
- Aggressive?
- Capable?
- Confident (at school/work)?
- Confident (among family/friends)?
- Extrovert?
- Generous?
- Insecure?
- Introvert?
- Resentful?
- Romantic?
- Selfish?
- Shy?
No doubt other characteristics could be added (each being a separate question).
Please indicate your age group by 'Yes' against the relevant option.
- Under 25?
- 25 - 45?
- 45 - 65?
- Over 65?
I'd be happy to accept different age bands, but I think it would be interesting to see if there's an age bias in the respondents. I realise that the poll software probably won't allow direct analysis by age bands.
How important is this forum in your present daily life?
- Essential?
- Useful?
- Interesting but not important?
- Unimportant?
Please answer 'yes' to the answer that best fits your opinion.
Finally, if Timmy has the time and energy to do so, might it be possible for him to post his draft proposals for the poll for comment? I agree with JFR that there would be real value in a poll of this kind, so we need to avoid leading questions at all costs!
For a' that an' a' that,

Would you describe yourself as introversive rather than extroversive?
Do you have a short temper?

Timmy has asked me to post this request ('cos he's "busy") .
We would like more questions for the poll. If you have any questions to suggest please post them soon so that we can get on with the collating.
