You may recall that Jerusalem's Pride Parade did not take place in August because the security situation did not permit (and because the fundamentalists threatened hellfire and mayhem). The Jerusalem Open House vowed that the parade would take place at a later date: and it is now scheduled for November 10th.
A compromise was reached on the World Pride parade in Jerusalem. Sources involved in the compromise – Jerusalem police, State Prosecutor's Office, the Jerusalem municipality, members of the Open House organization, and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel – decided to hold the pride parade on the 10th of November. After three hours of discussions, the two sides came to a compromise, avoiding a petition in the High Court of Justice on the matter. The compromise was reached after the Jerusalem municipality took upon itself the task of the production of the event. Even the police agreed to secure the event. (Ynet)
