Like the poem in your away mesg. But I must ask were it comes from.

So say what you want
(You know I'm wasting all my time)
You've gotta mean it when you say what you want
(You're only safe when you're alone)
And everybody's on your mind
Saying anything to get you by

My current one, the one I've had on since late last night, is actually a song lyric from a song, "Wherever You Are", in the movie "Pooh's Grand Adventure." The lyrics of the song are:

I'm out here in the dark,
all alone and wide awake,
come and find me.
I'm empty and I'm cold,
and my heart's about to break,
come and find me.

I need you to come here and find me,
cause without you I'm totally lost.
I've hung a wish on every star,
it hasn't done much good so far.
I can only dream of you,
wherever you are.

I'll hear you laugh,
I'll see you smile,
I'll be with you... just for a while.

But when the morning comes,
and the sun begins to rise,
I will lose you.
Because it's just a dream,
when I open up my eyes,
I will lose you.

I used to believe in forever,
but forever's too good to be true.
I've hung a wish on every star,
it hasn't done much good so far.
I don't know what else to do,
except to try and dream of you,
and wonder if you're dreaming too,
wherever you are.

It's a beautiful song - I can send you the small video clip of the song if you hit me up online.

I'm sorry, I missed the entire first tag. The complete lyrics are:

Come out moon, come out wishing star.
Come out, come out wherever you are.

I'm out here in the dark,
all alone and wide awake,
come and find me.
I'm empty and I'm cold,
and my heart's about to break,
come and find me.

I need you to come here and find me,
cause without you I'm totally lost.
I've hung a wish on every star,
it hasn't done much good so far.
I can only dream of you,
wherever you are.

I'll hear you laugh,
I'll see you smile,
I'll be with you... just for a while.

But when the morning comes,
and the sun begins to rise,
I will lose you.
Because it's just a dream,
when I open up my eyes,
I will lose you.

I used to believe in forever,
but forever's too good to be true.
I've hung a wish on every star,
it hasn't done much good so far.
I don't know what else to do,
except to try and dream of you,
and wonder if you're dreaming too,
wherever you are.

Hi Adam,

http://youtube.com/watch?v=eyLEZdDcSYI

I have to say that I was completely unmoved by it -- partly because I can't abide what Disney did to the Winnie-the-Pooh canon, but also because it was sung so badly.

Is there another version, or is that the version you're talking about?

Yeah, that's it.

To be fair, I have the sheet music to the piece, and I've worked it over a couple of times during vocal lessons some years ago. I still would love to get a chance to perform it. My point was more that the song itself, especially the lyrics, are very good. The performance, well, you saw what it was. There was an end-title version that I wasn't a big fan of, but would be more polished.

And I agree with you on the bastardization of Pooh by Disney. Milne was a genius:

"Halfway down the stairs is the stair where I sit.
There isn't any other stair quite like it.
It isn't at the bottom, and it isn't at the top.
But this is the stair where I always stop.

Halfway down the stairs isn't up and isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery; it isn't in the town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts run around my head.
It isn't really anywhere - it's somewhere else instead."

Nice one was that you or some one else. But any way I like it.

Okay. Thanks.

Do you have the sheet music on your computer, or only in hard copy?

I have it for "Easy Piano" on hard copy, but I imagine I could scan it if nobody from Disney is lurking here.

Hit me up on IM, I'll email you.
