So say what you want
(You know I'm wasting all my time)
You've gotta mean it when you say what you want
(You're only safe when you're alone)
And everybody's on your mind
Saying anything to get you by

I like the concept of the video, but I disagree very strongly with the comment you left on the video's page. That kid sucks at singing, and sucks HARD. And I'm not just saying that cause I don't like emo crap; he's singing through his nose with zero diaphragm, and that is absolutely the first mistake they fix when you take voice lessons.
On an unrelated note, I'm greatly amused by the fact that the still YouTube pulled to preview the clip was one of maybe 35 in a clip of 4 minutes that shows the kid's pasty ass. Good choice, YouTube, way to go.

I think you're being a bit hard on him, Adam -- I don't really care for that sort of music, and I agree with you that he's very nasal, but at least he can hold a note and he's clear in his pronunciation.
I was under the impression that a lot of American teen music is like that -- that it's part of the "style", even in many commercial bands. And if he wanted to, it's something that could be "fixed".

For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,
That man tae man, the worrld o'er
Shall brithers be, for a' that.
