Has anyone here read the book?
I wonder, too, if there's anyone here who has both read it and is old enough to have been youngish in the 1980s, and would be happy to talk to me briefly regarding my undergraduate dissertation? Unfortunately I was aged -1 to 3 at the time it was set, so I don't remember anything of that time. It's mainly to make sure that I have not missed anything important that would have been obvious to a gay person then. I've been wading through a number of rather dry articles on gay history that haven't really helped.
Thanks!
David
P.S. The book's excellent and well worth reading, especially if you are interested in upper-class England, art, Tory ministers, gay relationships or snobbishness.
