ATP does not provide housing accommodation at the base flight training center.
Cross-Country Hotels
The program price also includes hotel room costs (double occupancy) while on nationwide cross-country flights.
Financing
ATP has financing options that help you get the funding you need for your training and success in a challenging, but rewarding airline pilot career.
In most cases, each student is approved within 48 hours for a loan that provides 100% of the Airline Training Program cost and designated pilot examiners’ fees—and you don’t have to begin paying on certain loans until 18 months after starting training. It’s taking ATP’s students/instructors less than 18 months from the start of training to get accelerated airline placement.
Want to see if you can get approved? You can do so with no obligation to start your flight training with ATP. What better way to see what financial resources are available for your commercial pilot training!
SLM Financial has developed a custom financing program for ATP students. This program offers higher loan amounts and lower interest rates for ATP students who apply with a co-borrower of good credit. This program is available because of ATP students’ excellent track record of completing training and achieving success with an airline job.

Facts About ATP’s Airline Training Programs
Reputation
80% of ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program applicants come from the recommendations of former students.
Over the last 20 years, more pilots have come to ATP to enhance their qualifications for major airline pilot jobs than any other flight school or academy in the nation.
ATP is owned and managed by major airline pilots who enjoy and are committed to providing quality training and a unique opportunity for real world experience.
At ATP, we realize that your success determines our reputation.
Price and Value
ATP charges exactly the advertised price. Unlike other flight schools and academies, ATP does not quote an initial price based on minimum FAR flight times, with a provision for a price increase later.
More than 2000 applicants have successfully completed ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program paying exactly the advertised price, with the advertised flight time, and within the advertised time frame.
ATP offers multi-engine and glass cockpit flight time at single-engine prices, providing the highest level of qualifications for the money.
Time Frame
With ATP, you can obtain your Commercial and three CFIs in 90 days, allowing you to start earning income in your new career faster than you could by attending any other school or academy.
The Bottom Line
At ATP we do not make empty promises or misleading claims. In spite of the recent downturn in the airline industry, the major airlines will still be required to hire pilots due to attrition from retirements. The regionals will expand and take many of the lower yielding routes currently flown by the majors. The corporate and fractional operators are poised for astronomical growth.
With our extensive major airline, regional airline, and corporate experience, the management staff of ATP is in a unique position to provide training and direction, which will prepare you for a most demanding, but rewarding career.

What happens at the end of the course? Do the courses lead to employment as a pilot?
Is dyslexia a barrier?
Are these properly accredited schools of aviation?
What value will the licence have for you?

There will be a huge bill to pay.....
There are ALOT of pilots from the army, navy, marines, coast guard, not to mention the air force looking for commercial pilots positions.....
>

Yes.... It is rather important to have the settings for the various instruments adjusted correctly.... I would run screaming into the night before I boarded a plane with a dyslexic (sp) pilot...

With so many military pilots entering the private sector with all that training do you think it would matter.....

Good question........
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

That sounds like an awful lot of money.
I'll confess up front that I don't know a huge amount about commercial and military flying. But, as I understand it, if you're looking for flying as a career, then you can pay your way through it yourself, and then hope someone takes you on, but it's a huge lottery. It's worth it doing this if you've got plenty of money and will enjoy the flying for the flying's sake -- and aren't worried about finding a job at the end of it.
On the whole, if you're young and have an entire career ahead of you, you're much better off trying to get someone to sponsor you. A big airline, or the Air Force -- an employer that will actually guarantee you a job when you finish your training, rather than just a huge bill. You can be pretty sure, too, that if they accept you onto their programme you are the sort of person who is well-suited to that sort of career.
If you're thinking of becoming a private pilot with your own money, then I don't see anything wrong with that -- it will give you some idea of how good you are at flying and how much you enjoy it. Flying can be an excellent hobby as well as a career. But my opinion would be that it is far too soon to start thinking about spending nearly $50,000 in pursuit of it!
