Never of girls with big bulges in their blouses.

…and look forward to meeting you in Cóito.

London is launched an LGBT Youth Council today.

"The role of council will be to work strategically with service deliverers to inform them about the needs of LGBT young people and share their ideas and advice. This will help them to better tailor their services. The council will work across London – from frontline service providers like the NHS, Met police and local councils to the heart of London government in the Mayor’s Office and on national issues with the Children’s Commissioner."

UK To Allow In-Vitro Fertilization For Lesbians
by 365Gay.com Newscenter Staff

(London) The British government is set to remove sections of it the law controlling who may receive in-vitro fertilization that have been used to prevent lesbians from receiving the treatment to have children.

The change is expected to be announced in the government's legislation to be unveiled this week in the Queen's Speech opening the new session of Parliament.

Under the existing law doctors are required to take into consideration a child's "need for a father" when deciding if women should receive IVF. The provision has been used to exclude single women and in particular lesbians.

A government spokesperson said the Blair cabinet has been told that the provision breaches the Human Rights Act and human rights laws under the European Union.

"The dropping of this discriminatory and unnecessary provision is long overdue," said opposition Liberal Democrat MP Evan Harris. Harris is a doctor and a member of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee.

Conservative religious groups are expected to oppose the change.

"To eliminate even this token gesture towards the role of the father discriminates against men and is an example of gender correctness at its most ridiculous," said Josephine Quintavalle, of the organization Reproductive Ethics.
