... although new stories were posted on 14 and 15 November, I didn't receive any e-mail advice.

Oh, and as a contender for the supremely inconsequential comment of the year, perhaps I should mention that in the e-mail dated 13 November, the footer was duplicated. If this was oversight, no problem - but otherwise it might have some tiny significance in the scheme of things!

I can confirm I've received all the emails correctly.

On the 13th (Subject: We had a major email outage) there was a duplicate signature. Subsequent emails haven't had it.

Homepage shows me as a subscriber and - because of that - the software won't allow me to re-subscribe - even if I try to unsubscribe first.

I didn't receive an e-mail on 16 November - thus, 3 days in a row.

That is plain weird. I have just deleted and readded you manually. Have you checked your junk filter?

Assuming that your e-mail for 17 November was issued after your post above, it hasn't arrived, either.

I've double-checked, and the e-mails have NOT been junked.

Any further suggestions?

[Edit was a typo correction.]

This is simply weird. I always announce just after I add the new item(s) to the change log.

Email works in peculiar ways, but thsi is really peculiar. I will subscribe one of my own hotmail addresses to check that it is not a hotmail block. But I'm not sending another mail out until Minday

Our outbound email queue currently has 83 items in it, 70% of which are to .biz addresses (whoch seem to be bounces for Spam with faked "from addresses" and all "with connection timed out") and the rest are simply waiting to be purged, too. We run to normal end of job. Monday we will monitor the queue before, during and after a "send" and see what happens to it.

an email queue is not what a user thinks of as a "Queue of items still to be sent". Instead it is the queue where email server speaks to email server about what it is trying to transmit, but that the recipient is not (yet) accepting. It's an invisible stage after the email process has committed items as "sent"

It's not a matter of earth-shattering importance, because I visit daily whether or not I've had an e-mail - but there's a gremlin somewhere, and he needs to be booted out!
