Did the self-sddressed e-mail reach you?

No. But the email to confirm my subscription to the list did, and it comes from the same email address.

I am wholly perplexed.

Both the emails to you and to me are certified as "sent" by our email server.

I unsubscribed and resubscribed and I get ALL the administrative emails, but the list emails do not arrive.

I receive emails to all my other test addresses and only hotmail users are reporting problems. It is bizzarre.

Hotmail filters out emails with days of the week as subject lines. Amazing but true.

So Hotmail sucks, period.

M$oft sucks as usual.

Vastly amusing, so I have now opened a ticket with M$oft, posted it on slashdot, sent it out via RSS feeds globally and notified a couple of magazines

I agree that the removal of e-mails including a day of the week in the heading seems incomprehensible; even if there was some kind of justification, why aren't they simply junked?

Does Microsoft offer any sort of explanation?

In the meantime, any chance of e-mails WITHOUT the day of the week in the heading?

I do not expect an explanation from M$. However it would be well to report the issue yourself, too. They will ignore a single report, but multiple reports is a different matter.

I am changig the subject line Smile

This story seems to carry the reason. That is until you read it. We are not on a M@PS blacklist. If we were the mail with other subject lines would not get through. The timing is the key. This is something else that started around the same date.

Registering for the talkback is a little tedious, but it IS worth leaving a talkback. They may even decide to cober it as a story!

I registered and talked back ... and I have to tell you I was in pissed-off mode!

However, I have to report that although I received yesterday's e-mail, today's (Thursday's) failed to arrive.

I'm prepared to part company with Hotmail, but perhaps we should stay and cause a little friction first?

This is plain bizarre.

I hardly use hotmail at all, just nowadays as a sort if test account.

Timmy, I take it that Hotmail has not quite won your whole hearted approval.

Hmmm ... I'd've used the word "typical", myself.

Perhaps I should have added 'LOL' to my post to make it clear. **retreats in despair**
