... what's this 1-2-3 thing? (I can remember a 60s hit by Len Barry with that title, but then I'm extreeeeemely old!).

And, what's more, what's this strange language Dyll and Brad seem to speak?

As a Brit, I've got to wonder why Jac, Dyll and Brad have all be sent to Manchester. I mean, in Brit terms, that's a pretty severe punishment! Tell us a bit more about yourselves - we like to know all about you so that we can insult you properly!

At least there they have the chance to support the greatest football team of them all - Manchester City. Come on you Blues!

Hark now hear the City sing,
United ran away!
And we will sing forever more,
Because of derby day!

I can't wait for Saturday.

123 stands for i love you i's a code so we can say i love you to each other without freaking out the hetties

ok little back ground all three of us are from nyc well actually dylls is from la moved to nyc at age of 7 mths with his mom and dad

i came here to visit uk and fell in love with the place (yeah i know im freaking mad lol) having both moms originally come from uk i guess it was natural i check out the place. i now work in uk (youth /legal work dealing with abuse/runaways)

dylls well his mom and dad almost split up after dylls dad found out he gay it took 3 years to get that sorted and only after dylls mom and dyll were about to leave the country with the help of brad dylls boyfriend's dad who became dylls atourney they got out the true story of dylls dads freaked out any way they are back together

brad's dad as i have already said is an atourney and works in govermenent as an advisor have a openly gay son dont go down to well so brad came to uk to be with dylls

thats about it

Hi jac,

I've read this paragraph several times and it still only half makes sense to me! Please could you add some punctuation?

>dylls well his mom and dad almost split up after dylls dad found out he gay it took 3 years to get that sorted and only after dylls mom and dyll were about to leave the country with the help of brad dylls boyfriend's dad who became dylls atourney they got out the true story of dylls dads freaked out any way they are back together

Also,
>brad's dad as i have already said is an atourney and works in govermenent as an advisor have a openly gay son dont go down to well so brad came to uk to be with dylls

Can it be true that working for the American government prevents one from having a liberal attitude towards gay people? Things over there must be worse than I thought... I'm confused as to how Brad's father could be prepared to represent Dyll (and what for?) but would exclude his own son.

Best wishes,

David

ok dyll was going to divorce himself from having his dad be his dad due to his dads attitude toward dyll being gay

dyll met brad through going to same high school.

Brad told his dad how Dyll was feeling and the fact things weren't going at all well at home and his (Dyll's) father was trying to have him put into care.

and it got kinda messy and sorta painfull for dyll (sorry guys may be dyll can explain in his own words when he's up to it ok )

The top brass thourt having a "homosexual" could be a security risk ie blackmail etc who knows how screwy governments idiots think thats if they do actually think that is

Thank you, Jac.

Is Dyll still living with his parents? (Don't worry about answering if it's painful.)

How could someone's sexuality possibly have anything to do with security?

hi ok while mom is settling into her new job and dads renavating our new home and relocating his company to uk

im living with jac with me also is my bf Brad

k my dad found me blowing a kid near our home (what a way to find out ur kids gay) lol but as you can proberbly guess he freaked out big big time and walked out on us and things went down hill big time between my parents. and between dad and me he wanted me to see doctors to have me straightend out as he put it with or without my concent he actually went to court to have me forceably removed and tried to have the court make me attend either mental facility or the kids home.

he even concidered me going to live in a strict ultra religous childrens home thats when i freaked out and went to divorce him from being my dad he alsp tried to have me from living with mom so the (S**t hit the fan so to speak hope it kinda gives u a clearer picture

No, I meant I don't understand the logic. I'm prepared to believe that (for reasons of prejudice) an organisation might dislike having a gay employee; I'm even prepared to believe that an employee being "one of them" might affect their perception of his trustworthiness (though it is a baseless line of thought and I'm amazed it is not illegal). But I do not understand how the sexuality of the son of that employee would affect his trustworthiness. or perceived trustworthiness. Surely even the most hardened bigot would have problems justifying that position.

Edit: Jac, please don't edit the content of posts after someone has asked for clarification. I didn't realise that you had updated your original post, so I didn't see it until just now. Instead, just create a new post entirely and copy and paste as required.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Dyll. It's hard enough being young and gay without having a parent who wishes to throw one out of one's home.

I hope that life is better now.

Best wishes,

David

Incidentally, blackmail is only a problem to someone who has something to hide. You could not blackmail someone over his or his son's sexuality if it did not matter all that much if it came out. Bigots are likely to make much heavier weather of these things than moderate and liberal people.

k i guess say brads dad hadnt wanted or told that brads gay ok and someone found out then thats when the black mail could have started but as the "government is thrashing "family morals code " then having a advisor in government whos sone is out spoken in school and open about him being gay (BRAD) then Brads dad's bosses kinda didnt like "Brads attitude"
