... for my unseemly and unannounced absence over the last couple of weeks.

I've had some financial and family issues to deal with, and have had several other things on my mind. However, almost everything seems to be sorted, so I'll be back to irritate you in the next day or two.

In the meantime, I offer an even more obsequious apology to several of my friends here who are awaiting replies to e-mails. I promise to clear the backlog by the end of the week!

Cringing, obsequious Cossie.

For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,
That man tae man, the worrld o'er
Shall brithers be, for a' that.

Good to see you back to add some ingredients to the pot (cooking) even if it is only kippers and haggis.

Cossie, Cringe not. I'm delighted all is well, or at least sorted out. -Mac

I'm reminded, by Aussie's post, of the time the haggis was detained in Tokyo Customs and they piped in a large locally made salami at the St. Andrews Ball.

Hi Cossie,

I'm very glad you're back and posting. I hope all is going well and that the financial and family issues have been resolved.

Did you ever reach closure on that issue we talked about? (Since you're a Hotmail person, I'm never 100% sure whether emails from you have gone astray, as one certainly did a couple of weeks ago...)

Best wishes,

David
