Extremely funny if you can see the hidden humour. Don't click if you are sensitive to religious or orientation based satire, however.

I've seen people here take offense at blatantly obvious irony before. I felt the need to cover the link with disclaimers, just to be sure. Humour on religious and gay issues can be a sensitive thing. Wasn't really that hidden, especially if you read the article. But someone just watching the video, if they weren't aware it was meant to be humourous, they could take offense.

I'd imagine that is part of it! He looks more gay than some of the gays I've met my ex included!

Saben, maybe I should take offence, since I'm a Christian believer. But believe (!) me, I don't. I am a lot more offended by people who behave like this and don't do it for fun, trying to convert people from being gay to being straight. In those cases I do take offence, as a religious, gay and reasonably intelligent person, but most of all because there are younger and less robust gay people around than myself.

Surely he who laughs last is slowest to get the joke?

I went to the link and listened to the video and then read the lyrics. I felt a bit of anger at the person doing the song as I thought it was hatefulness trying to look like it was something nice with a catchy tune etc. If someone did this for real at the church I go to right now, I would walk out as soon as I realized what was being sung! I wouldn't even give it the dignity of a comment.
Then I read the rest of the comments here and found out I should have realized the guy was making fun of the people who would do this for real. I think it would be funnier if the lyrics were rewritten to make what he was saying sound to be stupid (which they are of course) and in such a way as to make fun of people who would sing that song. I consider myself to be Christian but surely not the type who would say someone gay is hated by God. I certainly could not believe that or I would have to figure he hates me too. I think that forgiveness is more in God's line than hate.
