It was great to read a story with that "Grasshopper flavor" that I've been without for so long. 2 bonus paragraphs, what a tease!
I hope this finds you well and enjoying life. From what I read it would appear that you are.
Thanks for thinking of us, we miss you.

Yeah, I'm gonna be petulant and say I want more of the story you haven't added to since July, Senor Hopper.

Don't you pretend you can't hear us, we know you can.

Thank YOU, Jim, and you're very welcome. I actually did see that kid struggling with that huge stuffed dog in the Walmart parking lot and it set me off to write that totally sappy story. But hey, it was Valentine's and you gotta let the guy get the guy, right?
I'm working on a new story that I bet you're gonna like. I think dark winter nights bring out the creepy in me. Some people didn't like Dreamchasers but stories just kinda write themselves.
I see you tried my grasshopper mail Smile Good deal.

unreasonably irritable or ill-tempered. So, that would be pouting and Mr. McCrankyPants??? Hahaaaa, can't have that. I've got pages of Gabriel, pages of JD written but sometimes that words don't flow and I have to wait til it all comes together again. I'll try to go see what Jordan&Dan are up to during these cold cold days.

I caught my own weather mistake just this morning........in those 2 little J&D paragraphs I stuck at the end of that Valentine story, I have Dan's hair being ruffled by warm Atlantic breeze IN FEBRUARY. I'm thinking .... NO! I guess I'm wishing for warm ocean breeze Smile

I guess that noise I thought was coyotes howling was actually you???

{{hugs}}

Ever since reading "Dreamchasers" whenever I hear the coyotes at night I ask what Niyol is saying to me. Perhaps she is saying to you that when the words don't come naturally it is time to put the keyboard aside and have some fun, but not to worry, the words will return when the time is right.

Until now I didn't know if you looked at either place; now I know, both. Smile

And we both know that February breezes off the Atlantic can be very pleasant. Now February breezes off the Rockies are another story.

Another brain teaser from Grasshopper, now that is something to look forward to. You know how much I love JD and the rest of the "JHS" family, but you also know how much I respect the creativity and work involved in crafting such outstanding prose.

Be happy and be safe my friend,
JimB

Jamie,
Thanks so much for those two paragraphs. They were a little moisture for the dryness of missing this wonderful story. Hope fully we will hear more of their lives and the family. Keep well and bless you.

You're very welcome.

It's funny, I got so mad at Stephen King, my favorite author of horror stories, when all of a sudden, he stopped writing them. Then, I read an interview of his and he said that sometimes, he just had to clear his head and write something entirely different or he's go stale. Now, I'm no Stephen King, but when I write stories like Dreamchasers or Promises To Keep, I'm clearing my head, kinda switching gears. I love Jordan&Dan too; all the characters are based on people I know or have known and I put love into every chapter. Sometimes, I have to step away so the story will begin to write itself again and sometimes, life just gets in the way.
I'm clearing my head right now on a story much more along the lines of Dreamchasers, but I am writing a JHS side story on Gabriel that, I hope, will tide you over.

{{{Hugs}}} and God bless right back at ya !
Jamie
