Recently, I was able to get a little debate/discussion going on youtube with this video op-ed:

take a look at it. Tell me what you think. On there, or on here.
The idea was "entertainment with a message" edu-tainment, I guess.

Ok, did you look out of the window in the middle? ::-)
I like both it and the follow-up. Will people get it, though?

I was worried about that, but judging by the comments and the rating, people seem to be understanding.

Thanks, Machelli; I enjoyed watching those.
I agree with your position -- marriage is a personal thing. Not public, unless you want it to be. Not religious, unless you want it to be. What happens behind closed doors is not anyone else's business.
I feel sad when I encounter people who cannot accept arguments like that -- especially if their objection is religious, based on millennia-old dogma. I guess it all comes down to: people don't like thinking. They like being told what to do. If someone is brainwashed into believing the absolute veracity of something for long enough, he'll develop a mental block which prevents him from engaging in any intelligent dialogue about it. The people who'll agree with your position are those who're already sympathetic to a liberal interpretation of the Bible.

Machelli, you're so right, and I like your presentation!
If gay people are getting married, or tied together in a civil union, it will not change, and definitely not destroy, anything. It will not erode the institution of marriage, neither will it threaten anyone's family life. It won't do the church or anyone within it any harm, either. It will only do good.
