... so I suggest we play a game. It's called 'Cheddar Gorge', and it's from the BBC's humorous radio panel game 'I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue'. I don't know if it'll work on a messageboard, but it might.
The point of the game is for each person to contribute a word to a sentence, without bringing the sentence to an end. So instead of a final noun, you may find yourself using all manner of prepositions, adjectives, adverbs and occasionally punctuation to prolong it.
No-one really wins, but you lose if you end the sentence. Reply with one word -- any word, provided it makes grammatical sense -- in the title of the post and no message, so it can be read easily. Please feel free to have multiple goes.
I'll start.

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. Washington Irving

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

So say what you want
(You know I'm wasting all my time)
You've gotta mean it when you say what you want
(You're only safe when you're alone)
And everybody's on your mind
Saying anything to get you by

Haggis was the end of a sentence. A comma does not count!

Ah, but you were too late. The game had moved on.
Shouldn't that be the beautiful Samuel?
