Hi all,
Hope that you are all keeping well.
I need some help on a topic. I am trying to track a family history, the lastname/surname is DOBISON. I have covered all of the normal records,a nd have also done the whole yahoo/google searches and have been unable to turn up any details.
This is my question, do any of you know or know of any Dobison's either in a personal capacity or just in passing?
Any news or help would be greatly appriciated.
Have a great day;-)

Hey Tempo, could the name also be Dobson. Sometimes names change a bit in different countries or locations. I dont know any Dobison, but I do know some Dobson.

If I search the name out on thefacebook.com I find 5 Dobisons (my last name, rohrer, produces 448 results).
Definately not a popular last name.

Hay Roger,
Thanks, Dobson would work. I can always work in back or forward.

Hi Tempo21
I have searched the Australian telephone directory and didn't find any Dobison's but there are plenty of Dobsons. The nearest was Dobeson and there are a few of those. My suggestion would be for you to try Genes Reunited

Good luck with the search

Sites like b4usearch.com (very intrusive) let you search the public segment of the UK Electoral Roll and also the phone book free. 192.com has a charging model to do the same.
bt.com lets you search the phone book.
Genesreunited goes some way to amateur genealogy but relues on other people who are precisely as stupid as we are
Friendsreunited deals (mostly) with the living.
