There is a family I know where one member is to undergo surgery on Monday, in the early morning, US time. That family loves this person deeply and is concerned, as any family is, about the surgery and its outcome.

I believe in the power of prayer.

Even if you have no faith at all, something happens when you think powerful thoughts about a topic.

I ask simply for your prayers or thoughts for this family, that all members receive peace of mind, that the surgery is successful, that the recovery is quick, and that the member in hospital returns to the family soon, fit and well and content.

I am not asking anyone to outdo anyone else, nor even for anyone to reply to this post. Simply reading it is enough, though a reply wil replace it at the head of the board. No words are needed in the reply, for reading the original allows the prayer to be answered

A chat buddy of mine just went through something like this himself (in this case, surgery prompted by continued complications from being mugged well over a year ago). He is now out of the hospital and recuperating (quite well!) at home. My thoughts are with this family the same way they continue to be with him.

A tough few weeks are ahead. Please direct your thoughts to healing. A simple gift for a person you do not know.
