A Place of Safety
I expect simple behaviours here. Friendship, and love.
Any advice should be from the perspective of the person asking, not the person giving!

Love and life and loneliness are very much the same,
With no one knowing where to stake their clam.
Their roads are long and never straight,
But nine of ten times you still take the bait.

Logic set and good intent,
Mean nothing when the path is bent.
An unlight street emotions swell,
You’d wish they’d ring the time out bell.

If destiny is set and your path is all laid out,
Then why do they say “When you need some help, give me a shout.”
Like they knew you’d stray and loose your way,
Like the cloudy sky a darkened day.

Like hand is to glove as foot is shoe,
When you were young you had no clue.
But as you grew the lessen was learnt,
And more than once you still got burnt.

Like a book a chapter read,
And like the great Confucius said.
The tides will dance the ebb and flow,
And friends will always come and go.

But on my heart you can depend,
To live and love and to befriend,
I will be here up to the very end.

"And so the lion fell in love with the Lamb"
"What a stupid Lamb"
"What a sick, masochistic lion"
