I dunno what I did but I sure as hell did it....
My lower back hurts like I have been stomped on....
I think I might have pulled something hauling my book bag and laptop out of the car while heading to class yesterday....
Sigh....
This sucks....
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Marc, try soaking in a hot bath as hot as you can stand it.

My lower back occasionally goes out on me My solution has been to load my huge backpack up with about 50 lbs of stuff and walk around the yard for a half-hour or so. I guess it forces me to straighten my spine or something but it does seem to work. Use Roger's suggestion of a very hot bath just before you go to bed. It lets the muscles relax so they don't cramp on you while your sleeping. OK, that's Dr. Paul's advice ... just mail me the $20 outpatient fee! For an extra five bucks I'll write you a Drs excuse so you can cut classes tomorrow.

Hay Marc,
Sorry to hear about your back. My mom just had a back op ( bout 18months ago ) and she often suffers with back pain. The hot baththing works, but try adding some lavander oil and 3 Table spoons of Apple cider vinigar ( Clear if you have )
When you get out the bath get right into bed, put a pillow under your knees and stay flat on your back. Try not to use any pillows for your headrest. It would help if you had some synapforte and cataflam, one of each and you should be 100% in the am.
Well hope that this helps.

Back troubles seem to be the scourge of modern man and there are as many different problems as there are remedies - one size does NOT fit all.
In my own experience the best way to avoid back trouble is to heed Mother's advice and "Sit up Straight!" Correct posture at all times is important. Constantly bending the back out of shape results in pain.
When I do get lower back pain, lying face-down on the floor, arms at my sides and chin on the floor, soon fixes it. It may take a while, but eventually the spine will relax into it's proper (curved) shape and Voila!no more pain.
Try it - it works for me and i used to suffer constantly, but no more.
cheers
