The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

I find this most unsettling, to let the truth be told. The article quotes the following line : " Ministry of Tourism's next target "
Now why not just promote tourism, why does it have to be aimed at a specific group of people. Why? It makes me feel like I am on a most wanted list.
Now as it is, I work in the tourism industry and will not dispute that agents and wholesalers are tapping into the "gay-travel" surge. But again I feel like I am been used, are they trying to take advantage of a demographic?
A lot of questions I know but in a way this story upset me, to think that I am a target...
"And so the lion fell in love with the Lamb"
"What a stupid Lamb"
"What a sick, masochistic lion"

The tourist agencies want our money, that's all they want, and to be successful they have to treat us nicely. Which, however, doesn't imply anything more than that.
What I would like to see is an acceptance of gay people into mainstream society, so that we shouldn't have to be more concerned than straight people about where and when to give each other a hug or a kiss. If "gay tourism" can bring us forward towards that goal it's ok, but it may just as well serve to keep us away from "ordinary" people, and when on holiday I don't want to be ghettoized.

Interesting? Yes. But I also find it rather tastelessly commercial. The brochure shows two guys kissing, but is it a location to kiss near?
Judging by the talkbacks very few people like this campaign.
