Actually no, it is not good.

An employee should know his/her place. they are there to work at the direction of their superiors.

If he were my employee he would noy have touched ground on his way out of my establishment.

If his employer had any sense he would fire you at next sighting.

Period!

I must admit that would be my reaction as an employer as well. It's rather important, Jay, to understand that, however good you are at your job, it's "My way or the Highway" from the boss's perspective.

There isn't time in the working day to tolerate an insubordinate employee, the stress in dealing with them just is not worth it. Firing is the only sensible result.

From your perspective you have to learn to take it. When directed to work in a particular way, even if that way is stupid, you do it. If you can prove how your way may be more efficient, ask if you may have a chance to prove it. If given the chance, then prove it. if not given it, work in the way you are told to.

Exactly.....

And think hard and long about this.....

You have rent to pay now. Rent is due when it is due. If you loose your job you run the risk of becoming homeless.

Oh I have no worrys about him fireing me cuz he cant. for three reasons

one hes has no power over me. he is store diretore but he has no say on om tech bench cuz i am with a diff branch of the company.

two, I am being moved to a diff store. and if he had the power to fire me it would only help move things along.

three,if i leave theres 13 others who will at the same time. so thats replacing two diff departments all at once.

yeah this dude does not have any friends currently in our store after fireing 3 mangers and 5 emmployees.

it is called leading the lamb to slaughter.

why on earth would other people give up jobs in protest of you loosing yours.

what you should know is the person you call the director perhaps could not sack you,
but be aware he will make sure the right people know that you are a problem..

It will bite you on the back of the neck. what goes round comes round.:-/

life is to enjoy.

Jay, I know where you're coming from, but the company always wins. It has to. Its job is to render a profit to the shareholders. I'm replying to jack's post to add weight to it, rather than directly to you.

People have an instinct for self preservation. They hide when their own jobs are on the line. Never trust others to leave in sympathy. Also understand that I have been the CEO of a small corporation, and that CEOs react very differently from the way you might think. There is only one person whose threat to resign made me keep him on his terms (for the moment) and that was because I needed him at that precise moment. Everyone else who threatened? I accepted the resignation without hesitation, and replaced them the next day.

And the guy I kept? I was within 3 weeks of giving him his marching orders when I found a better role for myself, so he stopped mattering.

I am sure you are comfortable living in that little world you have created for yourself.

I would not rely too much on the solidarity of your fellow employees. they have bills to pay too.

as far as relplacments on a work atmosphere.... all you need do is look at the unemployment rates.... there are college grads nore tham willing to fill the spaces you and your less tham educated comrades now fill.

Anyhow, the fact remains that all this goes on your work recoed and may make finding another job once whoever it is that you work for is tired of hearing all the complaints about you.

Dont be too sure of yourself until you own the company.... until then you are as replacable as a light bulb.... and alot easier to find as replacements line up at the door. bulbs dont.
