I fell down the car park steps at work. Concrete steps. About a dozen of them, a small landing then 3 more. Made a one point landing, on my ego. Ripped a new shirt, a newish pair of trousers and a pefrectly good ankle.
Someone insisted on trying to pick me up. LEAVE A FALLEN PEROSN LYING until they are ready.
When I said I was ok, he walked off to reception. He was a work colleague and he just fucked off. I hobbled to reception and they called an ambulance, so I spent much of the morning in the hospital.
I am fine. But sore. Off work this week. My choice.
OUCH! Hope the ugly sod here doesn't scare you!

Horrible start for sure! UGH!!! I know how much a fall like that can shake you up, so take it easy...
Just before Christmas I stumbled on a bit of uneven pavement and sprawled face down on a busy sidewalk. Nobody stopped to help, I limped to a taxi stand with a palm full of gravel under my skin.
In Thailand, they DO stop to help...
So, young pre-Geezers one and all...enjoy your youth.
Wobbly knees, bad ankles, glasses and lenses and being top-heavy awaits you on the other side of beginning "middle-aged life"...

I know you wanted to get some time off to start on "C&N3", but isn't this just a tad extreme?
Take it easy, will you! We need you!

Sorry to hear about yuour tumble. Hope you feel better soon. I think I took more falls, spills, and tumbles as a youngster than I do as a geezer (although still a young geezer). The big difference is that it is much more difficult to get up from even the lesser ones these days.
Think good thoughts,
e

I shall not be using that flying school again, by the way. The lesson lacked a little something, so I think lesson two is worth missing.
No refunds though!
